The Advancement Committee plans activities related to youth advancement, recruits and keeps lists of merit badge counselors, reviews and has approval rights for Eagle projects, and in other ways creates conditions to optimize opportunities for progress in youth ranks and achievements.

Activities supervised by the committee include Eagle Boards of Review, Merit Badge College, and other efforts along these lines.
